Thu, 25th Jun 2009  Ashutosh Kaushik got hauled for drunk driving recently, as a result of which he was jailed for a day, had to pay a fine of Rs 3,100 and had his driving license canceled for two years. Kaushik, who rose to fame post his success on the reality shows Roadies and Bigg Boss, says he will not contest the charges.
However, he is bitter at the treatment he got at the hands of the police at the time of his arrest. “Mujhe roka gaya, woh theek hai. Lekin jab unho ne pehchaana mein Ashutosh hoon, uske baad jo hua woh galat hai. I was trying to hide my face to avoid the media while being taken to the police station but the police didn’t let me even do that. Itna toh terrorists ko bhi karne dete hain.”
Asked whether he’ll challenge the decision against him, he retorts, “Mein chahta toh unki testing machine check karva sakta tha… jo unho ne test karne ke liye use kari. Lekin ab jo bhi hai, theek hai.”  |
