Wisconsin: US President Barack Obama has ordered the US flag be flown at half-staff till August 10 in the honour of the victims of Sunday's gurudwara shooting that left six worshippers dead in Wisconsin. External Affairs Minister SM Krishna spoke to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton about the incident.
The FBI has ruled out involvement of a second suspect. The lone gunman was identified as former US army officer Wade Michael Page with possible links to white supremacist groups. The police released his pictures on Monday.
Page had even opened fire on the police officer who responded to the 911 call. The policeman who killed Page is now critical.
The 40-year-old gunman had joined the US Army in 1992 and was demoted from Sergeant to Specialist before being discharged in 1998.
His neighbours told the police he was the leader of far-right punk band. While the motive of the attack is not known, Page's alleged links to the white supremacist movement are being verified. Page was seen sporting 9/11 tattoo on the day of the shooting. Other pictures show him posing against the Nazi Swastik symbol.
